Starting the day with energy is possible if we incorporate some practices and food in the morning into the routine. It’s just a matter of getting used to and organizing.

Are you one of those who starts the day with energy? Or instead you prefer to go back to bed? There are people who get up every morning wanting to eat the world. However, there are others that make you tired, irritable, and in a bad mood.

First thing … water

The first thing we must do when we get up is to drink two glasses of warm water, which will activate our body and clean the toxins from the previous day. This advice is not scientifically proven or endorsed, but it is true that it will provide a little more hydration to our body.

1. Energy from head to toe

We can perform a very simple exercise to help us activate circulation and start our head.

How to do it
  • First, we will stretch out on the bed or on the floor, next to a wall.
  • Afterwards, we will bring our buttocks to the wall and stretch our legs up, on the wall, to stay at an angle for about 5 or 10 minutes.
  • In addition, we can take advantage of this position, separating ourselves a little from the wall, to do leg and groin stretches.

2. A shower with contrasts

The contrast of hot and cold water activates our circulation and helps us clear up quickly. If it costs us, we can start to shower with warm water while we lather, but we must finish with a minute of cold water all over the body except on the head.

Finally, to complete this routine we have the most appetizing part. That is, a good breakfast that includes all the nutrients our body needs to start the day with energy.

In our breakfast we should not miss:

  • Fruit : citrus fruits are one of the best fruits to eat, as we have discussed before.
  • Cereal : bread or cereals, with many essential nutrients.
  • Nuts:  rich in protein and healthy fats.
  • Dairy : preferably cottage cheese, kefir or ghee.

We can combine these ingredients as we want to obtain a healthy breakfast that will give us the energy we need. We propose some of them:

  • Cottage cheese with fruit, nuts and honey.
  • Cereals with almonds and oatmeal drink.
  • Whole cheese sandwich.
  • Rye toast with ghee and jam.
  • Milkshake or vegetable drink, banana, hazelnuts and cocoa, sweetened with cane or bee honey.
