A new bar of soap
This is a really easy process that will allow you to effortlessly have a new bar of soap:
- First, you will have to collect as many pieces of soap as you can and put them in a wide glass jar or jar.
- Next, in the jar, add cream of your choice. It can be a moisturizer, for example, body milk, etc. You don’t need to add too much, a splash will suffice.
- Then, put the jar with the soap and cream in a bain-marie. Remember that the jar should not be covered while the soap is melting. In addition, you will have to stir constantly so that all the pieces melt without leaving lumps.
- Later, choose a mold. Ideally, it should be a silicone container with the shape and size you prefer.
- Very carefully (because the melted hand soap from the water bath is very hot), pour it into the mold. Stay away from the liquid and use mittens to avoid burns.
- Finally, wait a few hours for it to cool down and then you will have a new bar of soap with the colors and aromas of your choice.
Liquid soap or gel from pieces of hand soap
Now, instead of a new bar, we suggest you make liquid hand soap or, if you prefer, shower gel. Although the process is a bit more complicated, it is not too complicated. Watch!
- First of all, the first thing you have to do is calculate how much soap you have in chunks. In this way, you will be able to know what is the proportion of water necessary to obtain a suitable gel or liquid soap texture.
- To do this, grate the pieces of soap until you get as much powder as you can get.
- Then, calculate well: for 40 grams of powdered hand soap you will need 1 liter of water.
- Now that you know how much water you are going to need, so put it to heat. When it comes to a boil, add the soap and lower the heat.
- The goal is for the soap to dilute well and mix with the water without lumps. For this, it is not necessary for the temperature to be very high, it is better to melt it over low heat, although it will take you longer.
- Later, when it has completely dissolved, set aside and let it cool.
- As it cools, you will notice that it thickens and acquires a jelly-like texture.
- Then, when it has cooled completely, you just have to pour it into the dispenser or container you want.
- However, before closing it, you must “beat” the soap with a spoon or stick.
- Finally, you can now close the dispenser or jar and use it for liquid hand soap or gel in the shower.
