Ingredients

  • A lemon (20 g).
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • A carrot (20 g).
  • Pepper a little.
  • 1 pinch of sugar
  • A green banana (30 g).
  • Sunflower oil 1 liter.
  • 200 grams of cabbage or cabbage.
  • 2 small tablespoons of mayonnaise (20 g).
  • 1 small tablespoon of mustard (10 g).

Preparation

  1. First the banana is peeled and cut into medium pieces. Fry over medium heat for five minutes or until golden brown.
  2. Then, drain the excess liquid very well and flatten with the help of a board.
  3. Afterwards, they are brought back to the fire in hot oil, until they are golden brown and crisp. Drain and reserve.
  4. Meanwhile, the cabbage is washed very well and cut into very small pieces. The carrot is grated. Both ingredients are mixed.
  5. Next, we add the mustard, mayonnaise, lemon juice, a pinch of salt, sugar and pepper. This salad is served over the patacones.
  6. To finish, it can be decorated with mayonnaise or ketchup and add grated cheese. You already have some delicious Venezuelan patacones.

Colombian patacones with shredded meat

Ingredients

  • A pinch of garlic paste.
  • A pinch of oregano.
  • Salt and oil to taste.
  • A pinch of pepper
  • White onion (30 g) one.
  • 4 red tomatoes (150 g).
  •  250 grams of chives.
  •  8 green bananas (200 g).
  •  500 grams of beef brisket.
  • 1 cup of lager (330 mL).

Preparation of the patacones

  1. To start, the banana is peeled and cut into medium pieces.
  2. Then fry in oil over medium heat until golden brown
  3. Later, on a board and with a plastic they are crushed until they are round and thin
  4. Then they are fried again on both sides.
  5. At the end, they are drained and salt is added to taste

Preparation of shredded meat

  1. First, the chives and onion are washed very well and finely chopped.
  2. Then, in a pressure cooker over medium heat, pour a tablespoon of sunflower oil and fry the onion and chives.
  3. Then the pinches of salt, pepper, garlic paste and cumin are added.
  4. Later, when the onion is transparent, add the tomato cut into small squares and fry it.
  5. Next, add the meat previously seasoned and with a little oregano on top.
  6. Next, two cups of water are added to cover the cut of meat and the lager.
  7. Meanwhile, with the pressure cooker covered, cook for 45 minutes or until the meat is soft , ready to chop easily.
  8. The meat is then placed in a bowl to cool and shredded with your hands.
  9. At the end, the meat is placed on top of the patacones and on top a little of the onion and tomato stew with which it was prepared.

Patacones with avocado cream

Ingredients

  • 1 lemon (20 g).
  • Salt to taste).
  • Oil (to taste).
  • 3 avocados (80 g).
  • 1 kilo of green bananas.
  • A tablespoon of sugar (10 g).
  • 1/4 of cup of cream cheese (50 g).
  • 1/2 tablespoon of coriander (5 g).

Preparation

  1. First, prepare the patacones and as in the previous recipes, and reserve.
  2. Next, mix the avocado pulp with the cheese, coriander, sugar and the juice of half a lemon.
  3. Then mash it until you get a smooth cream.

Ingredients

  • Oil 1 liter.
  • A little bit of salt.

  • a green banana (40 g).
  • 4 tablespoons of cream cheese (50 mL).
  • 4 tablespoons of heavy cream (50 mL).

Preparation

  1. To start, we peel the banana and grate it. We add the lemon juice and a pinch of salt.
